The Instinct VS is stiff and supportive, with a slightly softer feel than the Instinct. It has a thinner sole for increased sensitivity, allowing you to better sense the rock beneath your feet. The shoe includes toe rubber for maximum coverage during toe hooks and bat hangs. The Vibram XS Grip 2 rubber is stiff and sticky, making it ideal for various rock types and styles, providing the necessary grip for steeper walls and overhanging boulders. Designed with a women's last, these shoes have a more narrow fit and lower-volume heel cup tailored for women. The Bi-Tension Rand system connects the heel to the toe using a reverse slingshot design, reducing foot discomfort and enhancing power transfer to the primary edging surface.
